Une centaine de Sociétés de Musique,
d'Anciens combattants, d'Invalides, de Dépor-
tés, etc. prendrant part au Cortège. II y aura
un grand défilé de Drapeaux.
La ville s'apprête a recevoir, comme il con-
vient, la foule qui viendra rendre hommage
aux Enfants de Warnêton, Morts pour la
Patrie.
Nous sommes certains que de nombreux
Yprois vouiront assister a ces fêtes patrioti-
ques.

Demain, Dimanche 7 Juillet, ont lieu a
Warnêton, de grandes Festivités pour inau-
gurer le monument aux soldats et civils de la
commune, morts pour la patrie. Un beau cor
tège sortira a 4 heures.
Warnêton, reconstruite en beauté, possède
un nouveau pont remarquable sur la Lys, un
Hótel de Ville splendide, et une église qui
peut prétendre a l'une des toutes premières
places parmi les ceuvres religieuses de l'archi-
tecture moderne. Elle a été érigée suivant les
plans de M. Van Hoenacker, architecte a
Ypres, et fait la juste admiration de tous
les visiteurs.
La Commission des Amitiés Francaises a
décidé de prendre part au cortège qui aura
un caractère éminemment patriotique.
Elle invite le plus de membres possible a
l'accompagner. Départ par le train d'Ypres
a i5.I2 h. et arrivée a Warnêton a i5.52 h.
Pour le retour, départ a 18.01 ou a 20.18 h.,
et arrivée a Ypres a 19.17 ou 21.ix h.

Right Colonel and Officers,
By your return and 2d pilgrimage, we are
happy to receive you in the Townhouse, to
wish you very welcome, and to present you
the hommage of the respect, the admiration
and the gratitude of the City of Ypres for
your glorious King and Country.
Was Yper bruised and burned during the
war, it was generously and valiantly defended
by the British Armies; suffered it exceedingly,
and lost it all, it maintained Belgium and
protected England. It came an Historic City
and a great attraction by the historic duel
between Great Britain and Germany, by the
blood and the bodies Of 200.000 British
Heroes, buried in his holy ground, and by the
splendid Memorials, piously erected by the
British Isles and Dominions.
It had the great honour to receive His
Majesty The King George, His Royal
Highness The Prince of Wales,Their Majestys
The King and the Queen of Spain, who: e
brother The Prince of Battenberg here died in
action in October X914,Their Excellences The
Prime Ministers of England and Australia,
His Worship The Lord Mayor of London,
the glorious defenders of the city, Marshals
French and Douglas Haig, many military and
civil Authorities, innumerable fathers and
mothers, brothers and sisters, widows and
orphans of fallen Heroes, and you self, to
day, Right Honourable Colonel and officers.
All will ever return to Ypres for honour for
ever the dear and glorious Dead.
I felicitate you and the British People for
your pious sentiments I thank you for the
honour of your visit, and I wish you long
live, good luck and prosperity. I toast the
I cadet battalion of the Light Durham infantry.

Right Honourable Colonel,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I thank you very much for your very nice
words and wishes.
I appreciate the honour of your invitation,
as a sign of kind regards for the city of
Yper.
I am happy that the People of Yper and the
British People have many reasons to recipro
cal esteem and love the People of Yper,
onesides, because the British People was the
principal maker of Belgium, the principal
assurer of his dear independence, the prin
cipal friend of Leopold I, the wise man, and
the good husband in 1816-1817 of the Prin
cess Charlotte of England, of Leopold II,
the active and able creator and organisator of
Congoland, and of the King Albert, the heroic
defender of Belgium against Germany, the
principal client of our Antwerp port, the prin
cipal visitor of Yper, and during the war, the
principal defender and saviour of our King
and country the British People, other-
sides, because Yper was his principal front
and his possession during the war, the battle
field where all armies of the British Empire
gathered, and longst staid, and hardst battles
endured, the city where the invader of Bel
gium must stop by the might and the bravery
of the British armies, the holy ground which
drank the blood and conserved the bodies of
200.000 British Heroes, the irresistible attrac
tion for all the fathers and mothers, brothers
and sisters, widows and orphans, who will
honour for ever their dear and glorious Dead,
and the Victory place, where the British
Empire erected a splendid Memorial to his
courageous Armies in memory of his glorious
Victory.
I hope that this reciprocal esteem and love
will continue for the good luck and welfare of
our two Peoples, and, in this hope, I toast
respectfully your dear and glorious King and
Country.
L'Association des Mutilés de 1'Arrondisse
ment de Dunkerque organise, a l'occasion de
son ioe anniversaire, une visite de tout l'ancien
front des Flandres. Cette excursion aux
champs de bataille aura lieu demain, Diman
che 7 Juillet. De nombreux propriétaires
d'automobiles ont répondu a l'appel du comité
des Mutilés et c'est un cortège de plus de
soixante-dix voiiures qui quittera Dunkerque
Dimanche matin a 8 heures, pour se rendre
successivement a Furnes, Nieuport, Ram
cappelle, Pervyse, Dixmude, la forêt d'Hout-
hulst, Poelcapelle, Ypres, Steenstraete. Un
pique-nique aura lieu dans la forêt d'Houthulst

Le comité de la Chambre de Commerce a
I'honneur d'inviter les membres del'Université
Cinégraphique Beige a la Conférence avec
projecties que donnera M. Raphaël Capart,
Ingénieur, le Mardi g Juillet, a 8 h. du soir,
en la salie du Vieil Ypres
SUJET
Cette conférence sera intéressanteetinstruc-
tive, et le comité engage vivement les mem
bres de l'U. C. B. a y assister avec leur
familie.
Nous lisons dans Le Soir
Les incessantes démarches faites par la
ville d'Ypres pour faire reconstruire le Musée
Merghelynck qui fut détruit pendant la
guerre, n'ont pas encore abouti.
Toutefois, dans les milieux bien informés,
écrit la Chronique des Travaux Publics
l'on croit que le gouvernement serait inten-
tionné de faire affecter les dommages de
guerre accordés pour la destruction de l'édi-
fice abritant les collections du Musée Merghe
lynck a la construction d'un autre immeuble
suivant des plans en harmonie avec l'ensemble
architectural de la ville martyre.
Cette décision n'aura pas l'approbation des
Yprois, lesquels estiment que le Musée Mer
ghelynck constituait une des curiosités de
leur ville. Us revendiquent en conséquence la
reconstruction de eet édifice.
Obtiendront ils satisfaction. Rien ne le fait
prévoir jusqu'a présent.
