To The Secretary,
Ypres League.
Dear Sir,
I write to offer you the most sincere thanks of our President and Council for the great service you
rendered the parade on Saturday last. All concerned were especially delighted to see the members of
the Ypres League and to render them, as they assuredly did, the appreciation they felt for their war
service. We are very grateful to you and ail the members of the Ypres League who were present for
the help they gave on this occasion.
Yours faithfully,
E. M. Ord Marshall,
Hon. Secretary, League of the Empire.
good-bye to the battlefields." Capt. H. A. Taylor (Stanley Paul Co.). 21s.
This is a book that will interest everyone who has any association with the Ypres Salient. A
charming picture of the British children coming out of the school at Ypres has been chosen as the
frontispiece.
The battlefields are described as they are to-day it is a wonderful reconstruction of the whole
story of the war in France and Belgium.
Chapters VIII, IX, X and XI deal with the Salient, as also are twelve of the illustrations besides
the frontispiece.
Anyone who wants to know how the old battlefields appear now should read this book.
W. P. Pulteney, Lieut.-General.
