VISIT TO THE ROYAL HOSPITAL CHELSEA.
On Saturday, July 5th, twenty members of
the London County Branch made a very en
joyable visit to the Royal Hospital. Sergeant
J. Hughes, late R.A.S.C., acting as our guide,
escorted us to the wards where each cubicle was
fitted with wireless. We then proceeded to the
Chapel and viewed the standards captured in
the early campaigns. The Great Hall contained
every source of indoor recreation. Particular
interest was taken in the Old Men's Garden,
cultivated by the pensioners themselves, and
considering the limited resources at their disposal
the results were really remarkable.
We were informed that visits from members
of associations are seldom known at the Hospital,
so if any reader of this account belongs to an
Old Comrades' Association why not organize a
party visit. You will be exceedingly welcome,
especially during the long winter months.

friend who may be disposed to undertake an
evening's entertainment. We wish to tender
our very grateful thanks to all who have helped
us during the past season. The gatherings in
1930 were a great success, and we look forward
to a record season in 1931. Notice of these
events will be gladly sent to any friend on
