The Spring Golf Meeting of the Branch was held on May 21st, at Woodcote Park, Coulsdon, and thirty-three members played for the Ninth Wipers Cup. The Meeting was distinguished by one of the members, namely, Lieut. B. R. Brill, producing an exceptionally brill-iant round and making a return of four up on Bogey having holed the course in 78 strokes. This naturally left the rest of the troops gasping for breath, and the two nearest for second place at one down they were Lieut. J. D. Mill and the Adjutant, who was awarded second prize on account of a better last nine holes. A supper followed the Meeting, and a very enjoyable function it was, with Major H. G. Harris in the Chair. As usual, the prize-winners and delinquents who made no return were called upon for an explanation. The Bombardier and the Amphibian also joined in with a speech and entertainment, and after a hearty vote of thanks to the Host Club, the Meeting terminated. MILITARY WHIST DRIVE AT COLCHESTER.
