20 The Ypres Times. On April 5th, Lt.-Col. E. P. Cawston was appointed the temporary representative of the League in Belgium, with his headquarters at the Chateau of Brielen. Col. Cawston's assistance in this capacity has been greatly appreciated by all who have sought information about graves, cemeteries, present condition of old battle sites, and about travel facilities, accommodation, and transport. On December 15th last it was decided to form an Executive Committee which would meet more frequently than the General Committee to discuss the accounts and those matters of the League calling for immediate attention. On July 5th, several serving N.C.O.'s and men of the Army, and N.C.O.'s and men from amongst ex-soldier members were elected as members of the General Committee. In June last the famous Hill 60, having passed into British ownership, was offered as a gift to the Ypres League by its new owners. So far, it is still in its war condition, and nothing has as yet been decided about its eventual fate. A monument has, however, been erected on its summit by the 9th London Regiment. MEMORIAL WREATHS. were placed by the Ypres League at the Cenotaph on Armistice Day, November 11th, and on St. George's Day, April 23rd.
