It is officially stated that there is no foundation for the report recently published in many news papers to the effect that Mr. Thomas Parry Jones, Old Colwyn, had been notified by the War Office that his son Edward Parry Jones, l/5th Royal Welsh Fusiliers, who was reported missing on 26th March, 1917, had been identified at a Military Hospital in India, suffering from loss of memory, and that he would arrive.home in March. No information concerning this soldier has been received by the War Office since he was reported missing, and.no notification of the identification of his son has been received by Mr. Jones either from the War Office or from elsewhere.
