LEAGUE SECRETARY'S NOTES. The Ypres Times. TO OUR NEW MEMBERS. We welcome those who have joined the I.eague since last July most heartily, and look forward to their enthusiastic support in making all possible endeavours to increase our membership. An appeal was made to members in the last edition of The Ypres Times to take a more active part in recruiting, and we know those of you who have lately become members will do all in your power to promote the objects of the League among your relatives and friends. We cannot allow the last quarter of the year to pass without recalling the severe loss we have sustained in the death of our sincere President, Field Marshal The Earl of Ypres, who always displayed such a keen interest in the welfare of the League, and especially in its newly formed Branch, "The Junior Division," which is par- ticularly referred to in this journal. Our great ambition is to meet the wish of The Earl of Ypres in creating a strong Junior Branch. We feel we can rely on your valuable help in approaching the youth of to-day, many of whom are relatives of those brave men who served in the Immortal Defence of Ypres. We ask you to keep such patriotism alive by inducing the young generation to join the League. TO OUR CORRESPONDING MEMBERS. Letters are being written to those Corresponding Members who have expressed a desire to receive them month by month, and it is due to the courtesy of many Correspondents who have written from time to time that the Committee is getting into much closer contact with their requirements. The most important being A prepared lecture and slides, an up-to date poster, and old copies of The Ypres Times. We thank those who have helped us, and again ask all whose names appear in our printed list of Corresponding Members w ho have not yet written, to communicate at once, and give their suggestions. Part I of the lecture has been issued, and Part II will be ready on October 31st, by which time slides will be prepared for both parts of the lecture. Will Corresponding Members desirous of making use of the slides for a particular occasion kindly give three weeks' notice if possible, so as to make sure of their being readily available on the required date.
