A very fine wreath was laid, which bore the inscription Laid to the memory of our Comrades who fell in the Ypres Salient, 1914-1918, by the Sheffield and District Branch, The Ypres League." The Secretary of the Branch begs to thank those members who so kindly sent donations towards the wreath fund. It may be of interest to Branch members to know that our efforts to assist the sale of the new song of the League, Wipers," has resulted in the disposal of about 1,700 copies, proceeds of which go to League funds. Coming Activities. Requests from several quarters have been made to hold a Smoking Concert in the near future. This being so, arrangements have been made to hold a smoker at the King's Head Hotel, Change Alley, at 7.30 p.m., Saturday, January 9th, 1926. This concert is open to all male members of the League and their gentlemen friends. A good class of artists have promised to entertain, but a programme is not at the moment complete. In any case my Committee hope that a very fine attendance will be made. Charges for this concert will be Two Shillings, by programme, obtainable from me, or on entry to the concert room. In the latter case if members will let me know how many will be coming in their party it will be an advantage. There is no limit to numbers. The charge has been kept as low as is possible, being just sufficient to clear our expenses, so that all members may have an opportunity of being present. Correspondence on this subject should be made to me at Ivydene, 40, Fieldhead Road, Sheffield. It must be noted that all members within easy distance of Sheffield are invited. Roll up in your numbers and let's have a bumper show. Any member being able to entertain in any way, or being able to prevail on anyone who would come down to the concert to give a turn, kindly let me know as soon as possible. J. WILKINSON, Hon.
