The Ypres Times.
LONDON COUNTY COMMITTEE.
The London County Committee are pleased
to announce that the Fourth Re-union Smoking
Concert will be held on Thursday, October 21st,
1926, at the Great Hall, Cannon Street Hotel, at
7 p.m., when Lieut.-General Sir H. Uniacke,
K.C.M.G., C.B., will take the chair. Price of
tickets will be 5s., 2s. 6d. and Is. Tables can also
be reserved. (Ladies specially invited.)
The Ambassador and Military Attaché of
Belgium will be present and it is hoped that a
representative of the French Embassy will be
present.
The programme has been arranged by the
Opieros Concert Party, under the personal direc
tion of Mr. Tom Howell, and the Committee are
confident that a very enjoyable evening will be
spent.
Members and friends are asked to be sure and
secure a ticket early, and the Committee con
fidently appeal to all members to advertise the
concert as widely as is possible, for it is only by-
individual effort that its success can be assured.
All are asked to endeavour to make the event a
record one.
The Committee feel that there must be many
ex-Service men living in different parts of London
who would welcome the opportunity of meeting
once more to have a chat over old times spent
together, and may be you have a friend whom you
would like to meet again. Why not arrange to
meet him at the smoking concert on Thursday,
21st October. Early application, accompanied by

INFORMAL GATHERINGS.
The London County Committee hope to arrange
the Informal Gatherings for Thursday, 4th
November, and Thursday, 2nd December, from
6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Notice will be sent to members
previously attending and will also be advertised
in The Old Comrades' Column of 7he News of the
World on the Sunday's issue previous to the
meetings.
GATESHEAD BRANCH.
A new Branch of the Ypres League has been
formed at Gateshead, under the Secretaryship of
Captain J. A. C. Scott, M.C., 20, The Crescent,
Gateshead. A provisional programme has been
drawn up, and among other things it was decided
(seeing that Ypres Day falls on a Sunday
this year) to organise a religious service at the
Gateshead Cenotaph, and that the I.eague should
place a wreath.
SHEFFIELD BRANCH.
Will members who would like to attend the
annual dinner at the end of October kindly write
to Captain J. Wilkinson, Ivydene," Fieldhead
Road, Sheffield, stating the number of tickets
they may require. Full details will be sent.
