STUART OSWALD, M.C., 136 The Ypres Times. The lecture (illustrated by slides)which was so kindly compiled by the League's some time secretary, Colonel G. T. Brierley, C.M.G., D.S.O., was delivered frequently during the autumn to interested audiences and has been instrumental in gaining us new members and in giving a wider publicity to our association. The anniversary of Ypres Day was befittingly commemorated by a memorial parade, and a service, conducted by the Rev. P. B. Clayton, of Toe H., on the Horse Guards Parade. After wards wreaths were placed both at the Cenotaph and on the tomb of the Unknown Warrior in Westminster Abbey. An account of the ceremony forms the opening article of this number. In closing this necessarily brief sketch of the year's activities, I ask for a continuance of your support, which is indispensable to the League's well-being. The measure of our progress and success is very largely determined by the quality of your endeavours. If your work is maintained at its present high level, I think we may then look forward with confidence and hope to the League's position in 1928. MILITARY CROSS WORD PUZZLE.
