The League is now compiling The Battle
Book of Ypres, a history of notable deeds con
tributed by all regiments.
A scheme is under consideration for a memorial
belfry in the Salient.
To the Editor of The Ypres Times.
Sir,I have read the manuscript of this work and can safely say that it will make
a very acceptable book. Immense labour has been spent on it by Miss Beatrix Brice,_
and the result is a very remarkable collection of notable deeds, which will be read by all
who have a knowledge of the Ypres Salient, with the greatest interest there are few
notable places that have not a deed which reminds one of them.
An admirable companion volume to the Immortal Salient, as well as a unique
book of remembrance, it will be invaluable to all Pilgrims who visit the Ypres
Battle Area.
The book will be published in time for the unveiling of the great Menin Gate Memorial.
