The Ypres Times.
programme tliis year will be as successful as that
of former years. It has been arranged by The
Clacton Entertainers, under the personal direction
of Messrs. Fred Gibson and Frederic Gregory,
and the Committee are therefore confident that
a very enjoyable evening will be spent. The
Hamelyn Band has been engaged, and will add
to the enjoyment generally by playing selec
tions at intervals during the evening. It has also
been arranged that during one of the intervals in
which the band plays, the audience shall join
together in community singing of some of the
old choruses sung during the war period. This
part of the programme will be in the hands of
Mr. G. E. Keech, to whom the Committee are
greatly indebted.
Members and friends are asked to be sure and
secure their tickets early, and the Committee
confidently appeal to all to advertise the concert
as widely as possible, for it is only by individual
effort that its success can be assured. All are
asked to endeavour to make the event a record
one. Applications, accompanied by remittance,
should be sent to the Hon. Secretary, London
County Committee, Ypres League, 9, Baker Street,
Portman Square, London, W.l. (See page 240.)

MADRID BRANCH.
We regret that owing to lack of space in our
.last number we were unable to make mention of
a very successful concert held at Covarrubias 9,
Madrid, the residence of Captain P. W. Burgess,
.our Corresponding Member. Grateful thanks are
.due to Mr. J. H. Milanes for kindly arranging the
.programme.
SHEFFIELD AND DISTRICT BRANCH.
Each year, since the formation of the League,
the Sheffield Branch have held a Re-union
Dinner, and it is contemplated to hold another
this year. No actual date is as yet settled
but it will be probably about the second week in
November. Before precise details are completed
it has been thought advisable to give members
an opportunity of expressing their views and
desires as to the coming function to enable my
Committee to make arrangements which would
satisfy general requirements. Members are accord
ingly asked to state if they intend to be present
at the Dinner (with concert to follow) this year
the number of their party (ladies being particularly
invited) the day of the week most suitable for
them, etc. Will those members who have not
been able to attend our Dinners in the past on
account of expense write in confidence with regard
to their present possibilities, as arrangements may
be made to entertain them entirely free of charge,
thereby enabling us to get together a representa
tive gathering of old comrades. The difficulties
of the times are fully appreciated, and several
members have expressed their willingness to act
as hosts on the occasion. Members able to enter
tain in any way, or to bring along friends to
assist, are invited to write on the subject. It is
hoped to have a really good gathering this year
if members attend in sufficient numbers. Early
replies on the subject will be appreciated.
District members are asked to join in with us.
On Armistice Day the Branch will lay a wreath
as usual in memory of their comrades who fell in
the Salient. The ceremony this year will, it is
contemplated, be held at the Weston Park
Memorial at 10 a.m. on the 11th November.
Members are asked to attend, and subscriptions
for the wreath should be sent and earmarked for
the purpose. All communications to be addressed
to Captain J. Wilkinson, Hon. Secretary, Sheffield
Branch of the Ypres League, Ivydene, Fieldhead
Road, Sheffield.
