Beautiful reminders of the past are not so plentiful or so numerous in our great city
that any can be ignored or forgotten.
On Ypres Day, October 31st last, there was enacted, for the fifth time, at the
Cenotaph, and again at the Abbey, one of those quiet and touching little ceremonies
which are held annually to commemorate the brave deeds of those who fought and fell
in the Salient.
