We are now organizing a Pilgrimage (Novem ber ioth-i2th) for the opening service on Armistice Day (November nth) of the Ypres British Church. Applications are already coming in at a steady rate and it is anticipated that many of those interested will avail them selves of the facilities which we offer. Further particulars will be found in page 123 of this issue. While summer has only just given place to autumn it may seem premature to wish you all a very Happy Christmas, but this will be my only opportunitymay the year which is waning close happily and cheerily for us all and let us look forward to 1929 in the spirit of optimism and hope, backed by the firm determination to drive the furrow deeply and straight." We are pleased to record our thanks to Mr. H. Benson, M.A., who has contributed more than one interesting article to our paper in the past, and another article from whose pen appears on page 107 of the present issue. Mr. Benson's kindness is not confined to writing for our columns. We are indebted to him for much valuable Press publicity, and his sympathetic attitude towards our work generally makes him an ever-welcome visitor at Headquarters. PHOTOGRAPHS OF WAR GRAVES. The Ypres League has made arrangements whereby it is able to supply photographs (nega tive, and one print, post card size, unmounted) of graves situated in the "Ypres Salient, and in the Hazebrouck and Armentières areas, at the price of 10s. each. Prices for photographs taken in the Somme area may be obtained on application. All applications for photographs should be sent to the Secretary, together with remittance, giving the regimental particulars of the soldier, name of cemetery, and number of plot, row and grave. OBITUARY. We very much regret to announce the death of Captain E. Clive Maskelyne, M.C., late Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, and a life member of the League. We wish to express our deepest sympathy with his family in their great bereavement. WREATHS ON WAR GRAVES IN FRANCE AND BELGIUM. Arrangements are made by the Ypres I.eague to place wreaths for relatives on the graves of British soldiers situated in France and Belgium at the following times of the year EASTER, ARMISTICE DAY, CHRISTMAS. The wreaths may be composed of natural flowers, laurel or holly, and can be bought at the following prices12s. 6d., 15s. 6d., and 20s., according to the size and quality of the wreath. The above prices include placing on the grave and one unmounted photograph and negative, post card size, which will be sent to the relative, showing the wreath in position. For wreaths placed at the request of relatives on special dates, other than Easter, Armistice Day and Christmas, an extra charge will be necessary, according to the location of the grave. We desire to draw attention to a clerical error made in the acknowledgment of an article in the July number of the Ypres Times' entitled The Flame Attack at Hooge." Major G. V. Carey's battalion should read 8th R.B., not 7th R.B. We wish to inform our members that our representative at Amiens, Capt. Stuart Oswald, has moved his headquarters to 7 Rue Porte- Paris. His former office at 42 Rue de Noyon is now in no way connected with his business. A very useful map has been prepared by Capt. Stuart Oswald of the Somme battlefields, indicating cemetries and memorials, also battle fronts of July, 1916, 1917, and March 21st, 1918, and end of March, 1918.
