We are now organizing a Pilgrimage (Novem
ber ioth-i2th) for the opening service on
Armistice Day (November nth) of the Ypres
British Church. Applications are already
coming in at a steady rate and it is anticipated
that many of those interested will avail them
selves of the facilities which we offer. Further
particulars will be found in page 123 of this
issue.
While summer has only just given place to
autumn it may seem premature to wish you all
a very Happy Christmas, but this will be my
only opportunitymay the year which is
waning close happily and cheerily for us all
and let us look forward to 1929 in the spirit
of optimism and hope, backed by the firm
determination to drive the furrow deeply and
straight."
We are pleased to record our thanks to Mr.
H. Benson, M.A., who has contributed more than
one interesting article to our paper in the past,
and another article from whose pen appears on
page 107 of the present issue. Mr. Benson's
kindness is not confined to writing for our
columns. We are indebted to him for much
valuable Press publicity, and his sympathetic
attitude towards our work generally makes him
an ever-welcome visitor at Headquarters.
