Presentation of New Colours THE YPRES TIMES 2C5 SATURDAY, June 1st, will always be remembered as a red-letter day in the annals of the League, for on this date Lady Plumer did us the honour of formally presenting the Colours, given by Col. Sir Charles Wakefield, who was himself unable to be in London. About two hundred members, including ladies and other visitors, were present at the ceremony, which was held in the courtyard of Somerset House at 4 p.m. Those on parade formed two companies, commanded by Captains Alliston and F. The circle in the centre is scarlet with the lion and portcullis in silk. From the earliest days the Ypres League has borne as its insignia the portcullis representing the gate to the Channel Ports guarded by the lion of England.
