Reproduced by kind permission of Phoiopress, Ltd. We very much regret to record the death of Colonel Sherwood-Kelly, who was an extremely interested and staunch life member of the Ypres League. The personal support which he so generously gave in connection with the League's Annual Commemoration Parades was immensely appreciated and valued. Colonel Sherwood-Kelly was awarded his V.C. in January, 1918, for conspicuous bravery when commanding a battalion of the Inniskilling Fusiliers in France. Among his acts of bravery was a charge which he led against some pits from which a heavy fire was being directed against his men. He captured the pits, together with five machine guns and 46 prisoners, and killed a large number of the enemy. YPRES LEAGUE TIE.
