Two prizes consisting of a week-end trip, London to Ypres return (taken at any time desired), 2nd Class rail, ist Class boat via Ostend or Calais, with full board and first-class accommodation (three nights), to include service and taxes, have been awarded as follows Captain R. Henderson-Bland (Representative of the Ypres League in America) For the best individual effort, 81 recruits. The Purley Branch (under the Hon. Secretaryship of Major Graham Carr, D.S.O., M.C.) For the best Branch effort, 51 recruits. We wish the above gentlemen to accept our very hearty congratulations on their exceedingly praiseworthy efforts in winning the Recruiting Competition. We fully realize the immense amount of time which has been so generously given out of leisure hours in order to attain such successful results, and we hope that the prizes will be thoroughly enjoyed by the recipients, and that Capt. Henderson-Bland will find it possible to avail himself of the week-end trip to Ypres during one of his periodical visits to this country. The London County Committee, under the hon. secretaryship of Mr. J. Boughey, are to be highly commended for their splendid effort in running the Purley Branch so closely. Owing to the great success and popularity of our 1931 Competition, we have decided to offer two prizes, each of £5, to be awarded as follows (1) To any Ypres League Member or Corresponding Member (2) To any Branch Secretary For the greatest number of new members recruited from January 1st to December 31st, 1932.
