THE YPRES TIMES
League was reluctant in effecting an increase
until January ist, when it is to be hoped
the will recover sufficiently, and so avoid a
fluctuation in the League's quotations for 1932.
We make an urgent appeal to our Branch
Secretaries and Corresponding Members to renew
their keen interest in the work of recruiting, and
in this department our 1931 congratulations go
especially to Major Graham Carr (Purley), Capt.
R. Henderson Bland (America), and Mr. J.
Boughey (London).
With renewed thanks and heartiest of good
wishes for 1932.

PILGRIMS TO WAR CEMETERIES.
Visitors to the war cemeteries and memorials
in France and Belgium for the four months May
to August of this year numbered 104,000.
These figures are remarkable in that they show
an increase in the number of visitors of some
13 per cent, over the year 1930 and of 25 per
cent, over the year 1928. The figures represent
only those actually signing the visitors' books
at the cemeteries and memorials, and it is
estimated that approximately 50 per cent, of the
visitors do not take advantage of the facilities
afforded for recording their visits.
