Etchings of the Memin Gate Memorial. THE YPRES TIMES ii 7 Dear Sir, I sent a small cheque last November towards the Appeal for the Ypres Times, and I now enclose a'euinea for 1932, which I shall hope to contribute yearly during my life. Yours faithfully, Bath. A. M. M. April 21st, 1932. Dear Sir, I very much regret that I did not send something before towards the cost of publishing the Ypres Times. As a Life Member of the Ypres League I should have done so, but with cuts in pay, etc., I have not been able to do anything, and even now the donation I enclose is not as much as I should have liked to have given. It would be a tragedy if the Times ceased to be published, and I congratulate you on its excellence. Yours very truly, G. R. T. K„ (Major), Royal Scots Fusiliers. July 2nd, 1932. Dear Sir, Please find herewith a cheque value 15/-, being 5/- annual subscription and 10/- towards the fund for the continuance of the Ypres Times. I regret that I am unable in these strenuous times to make my donation bigger, but it is the spirit which counts, and I trust this small contribution will help a little towards the furtherance of the Brotherhood formed in the Salient which is kept alive by the publication of the Ypres Times, the receipt of which I look forward to every quarter. Wishing you every success in your appeal campaign. i am, Yours faithfully, C. E. W. A., Late gunner, 47th Divn., R.F.A. April nth, 1932. Dear Sir, This is a somewhat belated reply to your appeal of last October for funds to maintain the Ypres Times. It is almost impossible in these times to respond to such appeals. But, at the same time, I do feel that your appeal deserves support, because I consider that the work which the League is carrying out to commemorate the Salient and everything connected with it is very important and desirable, and is becoming increasingly so as the years pass and memories fade. I therefore enclose a cheque for one guinea with the best wishes for the success of the fund, and I would like to add, if I may, that the journal seems to me to be particularly well conducted and produced. Yours truly, R. M. S., (Captain). Chorley Wood. Major C. J. Hazard, M.C., of Colombo, Guatemala, a life member of the Ypres League, has very generously given Headquarters thirty of his fine etchings of the Menin Gate Memorial, stipulating that the proceeds of sales should go towards the financial support of the Ypres Times. Size of etching 9 inches by 6 inches. Price 5s. each, post free. Signed proofs ios. 6d. each, post free. Applications should be addressed to the Secretary, Ypres League, 9, Baker Street, London, W.i.
