The Chairman and Committee of the Ypres

from Mrs. R. Henderson-Bland an exceedingly
valuable and handsomely framed illuminated
copy of the Memoriam Poem written by her
husband, Captain R. Henderson-Bland, and
which appeared in the supplement of the last
(October) edition of The Ypres Times.
The design, 19 inches by 16 inches, has been
brilliantly executed by Mr. J. W. Portway,
engrosser to the Ypres League, and incorporates
the following features
An outer border of oak leaves entwined
round a gold bar, with an inner border of
Flanders Poppies, Cornflowers and Roses.
The Flemish Lion is shown in red on gold
ground, and the Paschal Lamb on blue, the
coat of arms of the late Field-Marshal Viscount
Plumer, coat of arms of Ypres, Field-Marshal's
baton on cushion, badges of the Second Army,
Gloucestershire Regiment, and Ypres League.
Arrangements are being made for the transit

There has been in Belgium for some time a
Voluntary Association called The Belgian-
Luxembourg Students' Travelling Society."
Under the patronage of the Belgian Minister
of Science and Arts and the Minister of State of
the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, it is controlled
by the Belgian-Luxembourg Touring Office
(National official office).
The new Association will arrange and help
forward friendly relations between young
students of different nationalities with a view
of bringing about a better understanding and
esteem amongst them.
A start will be made at Easter, 1933, by an
Anglo-Belgian Travel Exchange, whereby 750
Belgian and Luxembourg students will visit
London, and 750 Britishers will go to Belgium.
