ON Sunday, October 30th, the twelfth annual commemoration of the Ypres League
was held on the Horse Guards' Parade. Among a distinguished company were
General Sir Charles H. Harington, President of the League, H.E. The Belgian
Ambassador, Colonel H. Nerincx, Military Attaché Belgian Embassy, Field-Marshal
Viscount Allenby, and Lieut.-General Sir W. P. Pulteney.
A short but impressive service was commenced by the singing of the hymn O
Valiant Hearts," accompanied by the band of the 1st Surrey Rifles.
The gathering was addressed by the Rev. G. H. Woolley, V.C., M.C., who spoke of
the fine sentiment which prompted such a gathering, and paid a glowing tribute to the
