PILGRIMAGES INDEPENDENT TRAVEL INTRODUCTION TO OUR TRAVEL BUREAU i88 THE YPRES TIMES The Ypres League Travel Facilities are heartily extended to all members or friends desirous of visiting Cemeteries, Memorials and all parts of the old Western Front Battlefields, special care being taken to ensure the complete liberty of action, general comfort and entire satisfaction of the pilgrim, whether travelling with our conducted pilgrimages or independently. Information on all matters connected with Battlefield Tours is gladly given by Headquarters. All tickets issued are accompanied by a detailed Itinerary of Train Services and other helpful information. The Travel covers the popular Four-Day and Week-End Trips to Ypres, Arras and Amiens by the day and night routes, with inclusive quotations. Special quotations can be given for trips of longer duration to any part of the Western Front, to include board and accommodation in such places as Brussels, Armentières, Albert, Paris, etc. In such cases, circular tickets can be issued so as to avoid the unnecessary trouble of booking tickets on tour and thereby permitting the traveller to break the journey en route. Passports are necessary for trips of longer duration than week-ends i.e., Friday to Monday or Saturday to Tuesday. The League Representatives at Ypres, Arras and Amiens meet our travellers on arrival, and do everything possible to make their stay of great interest, including the provision of transport (private car or charabanc) at reasonable charges. In view of the special arrangements concluded by the Ypres League with the Continental Hotel Pro prietors, it should be clearly understood that those travelling under our auspices are not expected to give gratuities to hotel staffs. Do not allow those doubts to postpone that trip you have really always promised yourself.
