Conforming with the League's charitable work, we had the privilege to defray inclusive expenses of eight poor mothers and widows to Ypres on September 21st. These poor relatives were selected from London, Colchester and Sheffield, and in this connection we would like to place on record our unanimous thanks for the valuable financial assistance rendered by the South Kensington Branch of the British Legion, and by the 85th Club, whose benevolence has been a source _of great consolation to three of the most deserving cases on our "waiting list." Space, unfortunately, does not permit a longer letter, but we cannot conclude without conveying a most sincere expression of grati tude to our Branches, Corresponding Members, Representatives and all individual supporters, for their extremely valued co-operation with headquarters in the various departments of the League's work, and it is our wish that all our members may enjoy a very happy Christ mas, and a peaceful and prosperous 1936.
