SMOKING CONCERT.
The London County Committee have much
pleasure in drawing attention to the arrange
ments for this year's Annual Smoking Concert.
Particular care has been taken to ensure a very
convivial evening, and the Committee are
hopeful that the attendance will exceed that of
previous functions which have always been
K.C.B., K.C.M.G., D.S.O. Lieut.-General Sir
W. P. Pulteney, G.C.V.O., K.C.B., Etc. Colonel
G. T. Brierley, C.M.G., D.S.O. The Rev. G. H.
Woolley, V.C., M.C. and Major W. H. Brooke,
M.C. Doors will be open at 7 p.m. and the
Concert commences at 7.30 p.m.

We request members to bring these fixtures to the notice of their
friends in order to ensure another successful season, and invitations
will be gladly sent by the Hon. Secretary to any friends on receipt of
names and addresses. Ladies are cordially invited.

extended to all our London members and their
friends to the Caxton Hall on October 26th.
The Smoking Concert will take place at the
Caxton Hall, Caxton Street, Victoria Street,
S.W.I, on Saturday, October 26th, 1935, when
Major E. Montague Jones, O.B.E. (Chairman of
the London County Committee) will preside, and
amongst the guests who have already accepted
invitations to be present are H E. The French
AmbassadorGeneral R. Voruz, Military
Attache, French Embassy Lieut.-Colonel Ray
mond E. Lee, Military Attache, American
EmbassyGeneral Sir W. C. G. Heneker,
selections will be played by "The Enfield College
of Music Orchestra," directed by Mrs. Doris
Lee Peabody. Community singing of popular
war-time choruses will again be a feature of the
programme.
Apart from the actual entertainment provided,
this annual re-union affords unique opportunity
to renew war-time acquaintances and exchange
of reminiscences of those never-to-be-forgotten
days. If any members of the London area are
unable to attend the Concert, might we take the
liberty to suggest that they purchase tickets to
help the funds of the Branch Committee.
